THE “GREEN AWARD”The “Green Award” is like an “Oscar” for environmental cinema and one of the many initiatives of EFFN. The Prize is given to one of the films awarded in the last edition of the festivals participating in the network. At present, there are five festivals and five films. The jury is composed from the festival directors and the members of the board of directors of EFFN.
The first edition of the “Green Award” took place in 2006 in the city of Goiás, Brazil, during the 8th edition of the FICA Festival.
In 2007, the venue city was Torino, Italy, during the 10th edition of Cinemambiente.In June 2008, the 3rd edition of the EFFN GREEN AWARD was given within the framework of the 15th International Environmental Film Festival of Barcelona, Spain.
In 2009, Green Award is awarded in Rodos , Greece during Ecofilms festival 2009
Every year EFFN gives in one of the registered Film Festivals the EFFN Green Award.
